Dr. Maria Montessori believed that, given the right environment, children can learn anything. Since she developed her method in the early 20th century, it has spread around the world.

Tutor Time of Lake Zurich is proud to offer a Montessori program and has two classrooms to provide the curriculum to families in the community. In their classroom, the personal interests of each child are embraced, celebrated, and nurtured. Tangible experiences are designed to stimulate curiosity and provide an optimum learning experience.

A certified Montessori teacher spends significant time with each child, helping them discover unique skills and interests, while a full complement of Montessori equipment offers hands-on learning opportunities to develop children’s skills and senses.

Children work at their own pace and choose their own activities. They work alone or in groups, when older children share knowledge and get younger children excited about learning. Encouraging children to work together, with each others’ best interests in mind, builds social skills and challenges them to learn.
