3:00 p.m. Playdate with Nature, Greenbelt Cultural Center
{North Chicago} Build a fort or fairy house, create a mud creature or nature art, scoop up a pond critter and observe closely. Explore using all of your senses! Dress for outdoor play and meet at the pond. Contact the LCFPD at (847) 367-6640 for more information.

11:30 a.m.75th Anniversary Celebration and Community Picnic, Wauconda Area Library
{Wauconda}Our annual picnic is bigger and better than ever in honor of our 75th birthday! There’s fun for all ages with pony rides, DJ, games, face painting, and free hot dogs and ice cream.
