It’s here, the month your kids dream of all year - Candy-tober! I mean October! As Halloween has grown beyond the neighborhood, it has also grown beyond one day. So splurge on the good costume or let them buy more than one because there are plenty of opportunities this month to grab some candy all across Lake County!

FREE {Zion} There will be many free activities such as Trick or Treating at over 40 vendors (for kids ages 13 and under), bounce houses, face painting, Lake County Sheriff K-9 demos, games, pumpkin painting, food, raffles, and more.
13 October 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Trucks, Trunks, & Treats
{Vernon Hills} $3 per child, Children younger than two are admitted for free.
Come in your costumes and hop aboard community vehicles at this fun touch-a-truck event with a twist. Candy will be handed out at each truck.
13 October, 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. Trick or Treat Path
{Gurnee} $5 residents; $10 non-resident and at the door
Trick or treat through Viking Park with nearly 50 of your favorite friendly characters. This event is held outdoors – please dress for the weather. Recommended for children ages 1-6.
18 October, 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Pumpkin Fest
{Grayslake} Trick-or-treat on the character trail, participate in the costume contest, ride hayrides, bounce in the bounce houses, and more! Pre-register on or before Wednesday, October 17 for $8 per child (code: 600011A). Walk-in registration at event is $13 per child. Adult attendance is free with a paying child.
19 October 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. Halloween at the Y!
{Lake Zurich} $10 per child (pre-registered) $15 at the door, adults $5 and children under 2. Haunted House, Petting Zoo, Pony Rides, Trick or Treat Lane, Carnival Games, Inflatables, Costume Parade, Snacks.
20 October, 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. - Treat the Streets
FREE {Antioch} Treat the Streets takes place at participating businesses in downtown Antioch, IL. The Monster Mash Bash (with other activities) takes place at the Antioch Bandshell from 1-4 pm.
20 October 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Great Pumpkin Celebration
FREE {Round Lake} Area businesses will be on-site for safe, indoor trick-or-treating. In addition, there will be other activities including face painting, carnival games, bounce house – even an outdoor hayride and corn maze! For the youngest ones, a not-so-scary trick-or-treat walk will be available in the Children’s Neighborhood Museum.
25 October 3:00 - 6:00 p.m. Trick or Treat Store to Store Candy Stroll
FREE {Highland Park} Trick or Treat Store-to-Store Candy Stroll takes place on Thursday, October 25th, 3-6:00pm in Downtown Highland Park. Enjoy free Halloween activities at Renaissance Place and Port Clinton Square! Activities include: music, face painters, balloon artists, pony rides, hay wagon rides, and trick-or-treating from business to business!

26 October, 5:00 -7:30 p.m. Trail of Treats
FREE {Zion} Kids will trick or treat through Shiloh Park starting at the 27th Street tennis courts and ending at the Leisure Center for a Halloween Party hosted by Zion Park District. In addition to the trick or treat trail, there will be a Halloween festival with fair games, face painting, a hay ride, and a bouncing chamber.
26 October 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. West Ridge Trick-or-Treat
FREE {Lake Forest} West Ridge program participants, friends, and family members are invited to trick-or-treat inside and play all kinds of spooky and silly games. Bring a bag to collect your treats and prizes.

27 October 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Halloween Comicfest
FREE {Grayslake} Free comics, candy, and door prizes will be given out all day long!
27 & 31 October, 12:00 -5:00 p.m. - Trick or Treat at Ice House Mall
FREE {Barrington} Trick or Treating at the Ice House Mall for all little ghosts, goblins, and princesses is Saturday, October 27 and Wednesday, October 31 from Noon to 5:00 pm at all stores. A Halloween Kids Craft Corner will also be available for trick or treaters!
27, 12:00 -3:00 p.m. - Trick or Treat at Deer Park Town Center
FREE {Deer Park} Trick-or-Treat at Deer Park Town Center starting at Noon at participating stores on Saturday, October 27. Candy available while supplies last! Pick up a free treat bag at Brilliant Sky Toys & Books and look for participating stores displaying pumpkin decals. Then stay and enjoy various kids activities.

FREE {Gurnee} Don’t miss Trick or Treating and the Costume Parade!
27 October, 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Mundelein Boo Bash
FREE {Mundelein} A free Halloween themed event with the entire family. Other activities include games and prizes, story telling, and visits by familiar costumed characters. Parental supervision is required of all children. Food available for purchase. New this year, purchase an Early Pass. Early Pass registrants admitted at 3 pm! Limited to first 100 registered. Cost: $2/person (no exceptions). Proceeds benefit the Mundelein Parks Foundation.

FREE {Buffalo Grove} You never know who you will see at our Trick-or-Treat Trail! Friendly characters will line the path to hand out candy and small prizes to children. This event is a no scare zone and parents must accompany children during this event.

FREE {Libertyville} Come wearing your best Halloween costume and enjoy yourself! The Youth Group will be in charge of operating games for the kids, as well.

FREE {Mundelein} Join some of your favorite Goldfish Swim School teachers at this year’s Trunk or Treat event. Trunk or treat in the parking lot followed by crafts, family swim, and more.

FREE {Fox Lake} Join the Village of Fox Lake Police Department to celebrate Halloween. Your family will get to meet members of the Fox Lake Police Department, enjoy treats, hot dogs, bouncy houses, hot chocolate, hay rides, and candy apples.
30 October All Day Trick-or-Treat the Library
FREE {Lake Bluff} Children, teens, and adults can stop by the library on Halloween for trick-or-treat. All you need to do is say, “Trick-or-treat” to the friendly staff at our front desk and you’ll take home the sweet treat.

21 October, 2:00 - 3:30 p.m. - Trunk or Treat with Autism Family Cares
{Gages Lake} Our trunk or treat is for families who have children and young adults on the autism spectrum. Dress up and join us in the front SEDOL parking lot to trick or treat from parked cars. We will also have other fun activities to enjoy. Trick or treating is from 2:00-3:30. Hope to see you there! If you would like to host a parking space and hand out candy, please sign up at our website www.autismfamilycares.org.
25 October, 6:00 p.m. - Trunk or Treat
{Libertyville} Special Halloween Event with games and candy designed for the needs of children with ASD. Event will be held in the parking lot in front of Mobile Therapy Centers.
