Parent-Child Date Night Events {2017}
Who says date nights are strictly for grownups? There are plenty of opportunities for parent-child date nights (or another important adult) to have a special night out to make memories together. Little Lake County has rounded-up a list of these events that are happening in the area this winter. So bust out your date apparel, comb your hair, take some priceless photos, and have a night you won’t ever forget with the child in your life.
Please note almost all events require pre-registration so please contact the hosting organization. It is always recommended to register early, as many events sell out quickly.
Daddy-Daughter Date Nights in Lake County

21 January, 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Daddy Daughter Dance
Maravela’s Banquet, Fox Lake
Cost is $18 for children age seven and younger, $25 for 8-12 year olds and $36 for dads and children age 13 and older.
Come join the fun with a complete dinner, DJ, contest, prizes, an ice cream sundae bar and dancing. Each daughter will get to take home a special keepsake to remember the night. Although this event is in Fox Lake, please register through the Grayslake Park District.
4 February 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. - Daddy-Daughter Date Night “Roaring Twenties”
Antioch Upper Grade school, Antioch
$12.00 per person ; if tickets are available the week of the event ticket prices increase to $15.00 per person, so register early.
Dads-this is the event for you to spend time with that special girl(s) in your life! This Daddy-Daughter Dance is filled with music, dancing and fun! Admission fees include dancing, ice cream sundaes, beverages, a memorable photo, and a gift for the girls. The event is limited to the first 500 participants and tickets sell out fast, so register early. “Substitute dads” are always welcome.
4 February, 5:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Daddy-Daughter Dance “Be Our Guest”
Highland Park Country Club, Highland Park
Dinner-only (does not include dance) is $32 per couple (residents) / $44 per couple (non-residents), and Dance-only (does not include dinner) is $48 per couple (residents) / $60 per couple (non-residents).
Dress your best and come to the Highland Park Country Club to enjoy dinner, dancing, or both. Dinner will have some very special guests that you will not want to miss. After dinner there will be a fairy tale ball with sweets, surprises, and special guests. You will receive a gift and a photo to remember your special ball.
5 February, 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. - Daddy Daughter Date Night
Color Me Mine, The Glen Town Center, 1855 Tower Dr, Glenview
$20 per table RSVP required, goes towards total bill
Come and paint with your date. Cookies and fruit punch will be provided. Join us to create some special memories!
10 February, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - Just the Two of Us
Sullivan Community Center, Vernon Hills
Cost is $20 for resident couples, $25 for non-resident couples, and $12 per additional child.
Just the Two of Us is an evening for daughters and their dads, or other special dates! The couples will enjoy dancing to music played by a DJ, an ice cream sundae bar, and a special gift for all of the girls.
11 February, 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Cinderella’s Royal Ball
Community Arts Center, Buffalo Grove
$15 per person resident/ $19 per person non-resident
Calling all princesses and princes! Come join us for a magical evening of enchantment, songs and dancing. Cinderella and her princess friends will be performing, and will be present all evening for a meet and greet with guests. A royal dessert buffet will be provided by Culver’s of Buffalo Grove. Additional dancing and entertainment from Charizma will add to the festivities. Each princess or prince must be accompanied by one adult, and each couple will receive a party favor upon departure. Limited spots are available for this event, and registration ends on February 1.
12 February, 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. Daddy Daughter Dance
Takiff Center, Glencoe
$98 per resident couple / $108 per couple non-resident
Join us for a special evening with your little princess! Enjoy a delicious buffet, dance to a DJ, and have fun making memories. Advance registration required by February 8. Recommended for girls age 2-7 years old and their special guest.
12 February, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. - Daddy & Daughter Dinner
Peggy Turner Center, Deerfield
Fee is $27 per resident person / $40 per person non-resident.
Bring your daughters for a night of Valentine’s Day fun! Put on date night best and enjoy an evening full of dinner, entertainment, and some dancing. The dance is intended for girls in kindergarten through fifth grade.
13 February, 6:00 - 8:30 p.m. - The Enchanted Princess Ball
The Regent Center, Mundelein
$36 resident/$40 nonresident
This Dad and Daughter Sweetheart Dance gives young ladies a chance to dance the night away on Valentine’s Day. Dance to popular music played by a DJ, enjoy sweets and snacks, sparkling lights and keepsake professional photos. Every princess will receive a flower as she leaves the dance. Please register early; the deadline to register is February 4.
18 February, 7:00 - 9:30 p.m., Father Daughter Date Night
Belvidere Recreation Center, Waukegan
$18 per person Residents /$20 per person Non-Residents
Come dance the night away. There will be a professional DJ, catered dinner, photos, and prizes. Pre-registration is required, the deadline to register is February 10.
19 February, 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. - Daddy Daughter Dance
St John’s Lutheran Church & School , Libertyville
$20 per couple, $5 each additional child
Spend an evening with your princess making memories. Everything will be taken care of so you and your daughter can dine and dance the night away. Register online or by calling 847-362-4424. Payment is due at the event.
24 February, 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. - Little Sweeheart’s Family Dance
Kohl Children’s Museum , Glenview
Spend an evening with the ones you love the most – your family! Don your finest and join us for dancing, family photos and an entire evening of family fun. Tickets required.

Moms and their sons can step out in style for a special evening they’ll never forget! Participants will enjoy an evening of dinner, dessert, entertainment, dancing and memories that will last a lifetime. All little guys will leave with a goody bag, and Moms will receive a digital photograph by email to preserve the memory of this special evening. Formal attire is suggested.

$15 per person residents / $19 per person non-residents
Join the park district for an evening of sports, games, open gym time and a treat! Honor your favorite sport’s team by coming dressed in their team colors or jersey. This program is designed for children ages 4- 10 with an adult.
