2012 National Night Out Events in Lake County {Round-up}

Need a night out? Well, you happen to be in luck!

On Tuesday, August 7th, many communities across the nation will be participating in a “National Night Out” sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch. This evening of fun was designed to heighten awareness for drug and crime prevention, generate support for neighborhood anti-crime programs, and to send a message to criminals that the community is fighting back against crime. This “National Night Out” began in 1984, and this year the organization is proud to roll out their 29th night to help strengthen communities. Over 37 million people participated in National Night Out 2011 in order to make an impact in their neighborhood. Communities across Lake County are taking part in this campaign with a variety of scheduled events, such as, free food, music, games and safety demonstrations.
