Every Other Friday through September 23, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., Lincolnshire
Event features 10 food trucks for lunchtime picnicking.
Summer Reading Kick-off
June 4, Grayslake Area Library
Kick-off summer at your library! Activity times vary throughout the day but include face painting, crafts, games, roving entertainment, concert and Food Trucks.
Highwood Redhead Days
June 4 & 5, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Highwood City Hall Park
The family-friendly festival will take place at Highwood’s City Hall Park, 17 Highwood Avenue, where participants can register to be a part of the record breaking photo, purchase any signature “ginger gear, drinks, and goodies,” vote for their favorite carrot cake, and then head out to stroll the streets of Highwood and see how Highwood businesses are painting the town Red!
Jam Fest
June 4, 4:00 - 9:00 p.m., Round Lake Park
Summer music festival in Round Lake Park.
11th Annual Block Party
June 11, St. Norbert, Northbrook
Festival is held rain or shine, $10 admission per person after 7:00 p.m. Highlights include a kids fun run, games, inflatables, bands and food.
Celebration of Summer

Arts4Kids National Children’s Day Festival
June 12, Dam No. 1 Woods, Wheeling
$25 per family as a donation to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children and Pediatric Cancer Foundation. Event includes performance by Jason Kollum, DJ, arts & crafts, balloon twisting, games, inflatables, petting zoo, pony rides and more.
