Lake County is home to some excellent local breweries. As the craft beer scene grows, so does the number of local beer festivals. We’ve rounded up a list of the upcoming local beer festivals. We suggest you get a babysitter and make it a date night, or surprise dad with tickets for Father’s Day.
May 30, 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. 3rd Annual Grayslake Craft Beer Festival
Downtown Grayslake
The 3rd Annual Grayslake Craft Beer festival will feature over 40 different kinds of craft beers and specific food pairings from local restaurants. Proceeds from the event will benefit the scholarship funds of the Grayslake Chamber of Commerce and the Exchange Club of Grayslake. Tickets are $35 in advance and $45 at the door, and includes admission, unlimited samples and commemorative glass. Designated driver tickets are available for $10. Note that for the last two years, the event has sold out and there were no door sales.

June 6, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. 4th Annual Mundelein Craft Beer Festival
Metra Lot/Green Space in front of the new Mundelein Village Hall
This festival includes 30 world-class breweries from Illinois and the Midwest. Tickets are $40 in advance and $55 at the door. Tickets provide admission, a souvenir tasting class and unlimited samples. Food will be available for purchase from local restaurant and food trucks. Designated driver tickets are available for $15.

June 13, 2:00 - 5:00 p.m. Duke’s 3rd Annual Eco-Friendly Food and Beer Festival
Duke’s AleHouse, 110 North Main Street, Crystal Lake
Tickets to this event are $55 which includes beers from eco-friendly and local breweries paired with sustainable food items, and live bluegrass music. $10 of each ticket sale is donated to the McHenry County Environmental Defenders.

July 11, 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. Barrington Brew Fest
Downtown Barrington, next to the Metra station
This event supports the Barrington Area Council on Aging. Live music and food available. Tickets are $40 for general admission and $80 VIP in advance, and $50 at the door. Admission includes a souvenir glass, tee-shirt (limited availability) and 20 tickets for drink samples. VIP ticket perks include early entrance at 2:30 p.m., a special seating area, appetizers and a food vendor coupon. Additional sample tickets will be available for $0.50 cents each. Designated Driver tickets are available for $20.

September 12, 1:00-5:00 p.m. 3rd Annual Highwood Craft Beer Festival
Everts Park, 111 North Highwood Avenue, Highwood
Festival includes 35 breweries, 70 different craft beers, live music and food from Highwood’s best restaurants.
Ticket includes 20, 3 oz beer samples (VIP gets 25, plus event entrance at 12 noon). Tickets are $35 in advance, $55 for VIP. Designated driver tickets are $10.

October 2 & October 3 Village of Lake Zurich Craft Beer Festival
Paulus Park, Lake Zurich
Celebrate autumn at Paulus Park at the Village of Lake Zurich’s 2nd Annual Craft beer Festival. More than 45 craft beers will be offered by acclaimed local and regional breweries. Details to be released mid summer, check village website for updates.
